Exhibit: 'The Glistening'

REM Gallery reopens Friday night in its new space at 219 E. Park Ave. with “The Glistening,” an exhibit of new work (including the item at left) by Margaret Craig for Contemporary Art Month and Second Friday in the Tobin Hill historic district. The show includes multimedia sculpture and objects inspired by Craig's study of biology. Reception 6-9 p.m. Through Aug. 29.

Also for CAM: Carolina Flores' “River of Silk/Rio de Seda,” an installation featuring hand-dyed silk at Bihl Haus Arts, 2803 Fredericksburg Road. Reception 5:30 Friday night. At Centro Cultural Aztlan, 1800 Fredericksburg Road, Suite 103, Andy Villarreal's “The Roots of an Indigenous Culture” in an installation featuring large paintings and drawings. Reception 6 Friday night.
