Intrigued by the complex results he was getting by photographing beams of light with a low-tech lens, he decided to take things to the next level when he returned home to Texas. Using professional equipment, he remixed the same elements to create a kaleidoscopic body of work reminiscent of black-light posters, science-fiction novels, and graphic-design exercises. Unexpected will no doubt be the highlight of the Fourth Tobin Hill Art Walk this Friday (beginning at 6pm at the intersection of W. Josephine, N. St. Mary’s, and E. Dewey).
